"Ho Jhoke__ Jhoke ye hawaan ke laye dono ko baha ke haaye Bane dekho hum sharmaye ek duje ke
Hayye ek duje ki hathoon ki lakeeron ka Tay tha milna"

A name was written on a tag: "Yuv, Yuvraj Singhania." The tag was tied to a light brown gift basket decorated with red and yellow net cloth and artificial flowers, making it look beautiful. Inside the basket were many items and an invitation card designed like a light brown door with detailed patterns. On the front of the card, there was a painted couple looking deeply into each other’s eyes, a stunning piece of art.
A truck full of these beautifully crafted invitation baskets started its journey, delivering them to various destinations.
---------------------------------------------------------
The delivery boys rang doorbells to deliver the baskets. At one house, when no one answered the door, they left the basket on the doorstep and collected the payment from a friend nearby.
By evening, at one such house, the doorbell rang again. A young girl, around 21-22 years old, pressed the bell. Another girl of the same age opened the door. As the first girl walked in, her friend teased her and asked,
"Mill gayi chutti, ab toh apni didi ki shaadi mein jaogi! Wow yaar Jaipur, my favorite city!"
("You got your leave, so now you'll attend your sister's wedding! Wow, Jaipur is my favorite city!")
The girl smiled and replied excitedly,
"Arey, itni mushkil se toh chhutti mili hai. Woh toh accha hai ki semester ke exams khatam ho gaye aur ab finally jaa paaungi."
("It was so hard to get leave. Luckily, my semester exams are over, and now I can finally go.")
Then she added with a big smile,
"Achha, ab main jaake packing kar leti hoon."
("Alright, I'll go and start packing now.")
She joined her palms in excitement and hurried to her cozy room, her favorite place. While pulling out her bag to pack, some boxes fell to the floor. She sighed and said,
"Uff, kuch karne jao aur kuch bigad na jaye, aisa ho sakta hai kabhi ki bina kuch bigade chije ho jaye?"
("Ugh, whenever I try to do something, something else always goes wrong! Can things ever happen without a mess?")
As she bent down to pick up the fallen items, she noticed her old school ID card: "Saanvi Srivastava, Class 11 Science, Roll No. 9." Seeing it made her smile. She also found two old school diaries, a photo frame, and a badge marked "Batch 2023-25." Holding the photo frame brought a wave of emotions, and she felt overwhelmed.
She noticed a sketchbook with a beautiful cover titled "The Story of Us, Our Memories." The cover had a group photo of her friends and sister wearing traditional dresses and posing with peace hand gestures. She opened the book and started flipping through the pages, reliving all those moments. Laughing at some memories, she said,
"Kabhi-kabhi kuch cheezein humare yaadon ke kamre ki itni khidkiyan khol deti hain ki hum dang reh jaate hain."
("Sometimes, certain things open so many windows in the room of our memories that we’re left amazed.")
Lost in her thoughts, she remembered her
Class 12th days, before the exams.
The group arrived at a quiet and beautiful spot by a river, surrounded by tall mountains. English sir declared it the perfect place to rest and learn. After unpacking their snacks, he called everyone to sit in a circle.
“I want you all to observe this place,” he said, gesturing at the scenery. “What does it remind you of?”
Aditi spoke first. “It feels like a painting, too beautiful to be real.”
“It’s peaceful,” Sakshi added. “Like time has slowed down here.”
Kiaan, always the joker, said, “It reminds me that I should have brought more snacks.”
Everyone burst into laughter, and English sir shook his head, chuckling. “Kiaan, one day you’ll realize there’s more to life than food.”
He pulled out a small notebook and began scribbling something. Then he said, “Here’s a quick exercise for all of you. Write down one thing this place makes you think about, something meaningful, something you’d like to carry back with you.”
The group got surprisingly quiet, the only sounds being the rustling leaves and the river’s gentle flow. Saanvi, usually the chatterbox, scribbled furiously in her notebook. Aahan stared thoughtfully at the mountains before jotting something down.
Once they finished, English sir asked, “Now, who wants to share?”
Saanvi went first. “I wrote about how this place feels like freedom. It reminds me to breathe and not let stress weigh me down.”
Aahan added, “For me, it’s about strength. The mountains feel like they’ve stood through everything storms, time, and change. I want to be like that.”
Everyone shared something heartfelt, and for a moment, the laughter and teasing were replaced by a deep sense of connection.
Later, they explored the trails, splashing water at each other by the river and taking silly pictures. English sir joined in, surprising everyone with his enthusiasm. He even tried to race Yuvraj up a steep hill but gave up halfway, laughing breathlessly.
As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the mountains, English teacher gathered them one last time. “Remember today, not just for the fun, but for the lessons you’ve learned from this place and from each other. Life is like these mountains challenging but beautiful. Always find your way back to this feeling.”
The way you all climbed this mountain, getting tired, taking breaks, but never giving up, is the reason you’re now able to see such a beautiful view, right? In the same way, think about all the hard work you’ve done so far. Yes, some of you were slower, and some needed breaks, but none of you gave up.
That’s exactly what I want you to remember for your upcoming exams or any challenges in life. Take breaks if you need to, but never give up. Always keep in mind what you want to become and the dreams you’ve seen for yourself. Every single day, with every step, you’re getting closer to your dreams and goals.
So, keep working hard, and don’t stop. But remember, along with hard work, smart work is just as important. Whenever you feel scared or unsure, think about this moment. Even though climbing this tall mountain felt risky, you didn’t lose hope, and now you’re here, enjoying the view.
Never give up on your dreams my best students!
Back to present
As she flipped through the photos, she saw one of herself with her two best friends, Sakshi and Aditi. In another, she spotted Aahan and herself, looking at his photo with her, her eyes filled with tears, she tried to hold them back. With a shaky voice, she said while touching his photo "aahan". while Sakshi was busy admiring her favorite guy. The next photo had Nikku Di and Pranav Bhai lost in each other’s eyes. There was another photo of Kiaan bhai and Aditi arguing as usual, and Naina and Kabir smiling brightly.
She continued,
"Bahut khoobsurat hoti hai yeh yaadon ki duniya. Humare bitaaye hue kal ke chhote-chhote tukde hamesha humari yaadon mein mehfooz rehte hain. Yaadein mithai ke dibbe ki tarah hoti hain, ek baar khula toh sirf ek tukda nahi kha paoge."
("This world of memories is truly beautiful. Tiny fragments of our past always remain safe in our minds. Memories are like a box of sweets once opened, you can’t stop at just one piece.")
Lost in her thoughts, she remembered her Class 11 days, just before the exams.
Their English teacher was scolding the class in a gentle tone,
"Kitni baar kaha hai tum logon ko, padhai bhi kar lo. Har baar udhang machaayi rehti hai tum logon ne!"
("How many times have I told you all to study? You’re always causing a ruckus!")
One of her classmates replied cheekily,
"Sir, bas! Almost ab toh humari class khatam hone wali hai. Ab toh thodi masti kar lene dijiye. Waise bhi aapne abhi tak poori class mein humein padhaya hi hai!"
("Sir, come on! Our classes are almost about to end. Let us have a little fun now. Besides, you have taught us well throughout the class!")
The teacher shook his head with a small smile and said,
"Achha, achha, yeh mazaak aur sharaarat sab band karo aur chalo padhai par dhyan do."
("Alright, alright. Stop with all this fun and mischief, and focus on your studies now.")
Back to present
Suddenly, Saanvi found an old book in her things. It reminded her of how, on the last day of Class 12, when she, Sakshi, and Aditi were packing up their memories and getting ready to leave for their new journeys, Sakshi’s book had somehow ended up in Saanvi’s bag.
The book was titled "Ek Duje Ke Vaaste" by author Belle. It had a beautiful cover that caught Saanvi’s attention.
She smiled with excitement but decided to pack the book in her bag for now. She then headed to the airport, leaving for Jaipur.
---------------------------------------------------------
After a long time, the three old best friends Saanvi, Sakshi, and Aditi met again. They were thrilled and couldn’t stop talking, sharing all the stories from their lives while unpacking their bags.
As Saanvi unpacked her bag, Sakshi noticed the book "Ek Duje Ke Vaaste" and asked with a small smile,
"Tumhe ye kitaab kahan se mili, Saanu?"
("Where did you find this book, Saanu?")
Saanvi replied casually,
"Aare woh mere memories wale pitaro mein se."
("Oh, I found it among my box of memories.")
Aditi, looking curious, asked,
"Kya hai ye?"
("What is this?")
Sakshi smiled and said,
"Aare, tum log ko toh pata hi hai na ki mujhe kahaniyan likhna bahut pasand tha aur hai bhi. Toh bas, uss samay maine humari kahani likhi thi. Wahi hai."
("Oh, you guys know how much I love writing stories, right? So back then, I wrote our story. This is it.")
Hearing this, both Saanvi and Aditi became curious and insisted on reading the book. They opened the book filled with memories.
Sakshi interrupted with a laugh,
"Chalo, padhte hai hum log bhi toh dekhe ki uss waqt mein kaisa likhti thi"
("Come on, let's read and see how I used to write back then.")
The first page of the book read:
"Ek dastaan anokhi si... Jab kismat mein tha milna, toh kaise ho sakte the do dil ek doosre se juda."
"Ho Jhoke.. jhoke ye hawaan ke laye dono ko baha ke haaye Bane dekho hum sharmaye ek duje ke
Hayye ek duje ki hathoon ki lakeeron ka Tay tha milna"
("A unique tale... When destiny had planned their meeting, how could two hearts ever be apart?"
The breezes gently carried them towards each other, shy yet drawn together.
Bound by the lines of destiny etched on their palms, their meeting was always meant to be.")
