AUTHOR’S NOTE
Hello, my Pistas! ♡
I am Saku_writes, your writer sahiba, Belle.
And finally… I am starting my new book, From Strangers to Home. 🥹🤍
This story is about an Army man and a civilian—a girl who owns a little café and a man whose life is very different from hers. And honestly, this story is such a fun and interesting one. I really hope you’ll fall in love with it the way I did while creating it.
You’ll probably find it very easy to get attached to the characters because they feel so… human.
I especially love him because he is such a green forest. He is a gentleman, caring, patient, and the kind of person who makes you think, “Where do men like this actually exist?” 😭
And then there’s Ishika.
I relate to her more than I expected to.
One of her biggest fears comes from something I’ve thought about for a long time. I have immense respect for our Army and for the families who stand beside the people serving the country. But whenever I thought about an Army family, I never thought only about the obvious fear of losing someone.
There are so many other fears too.
What if he needs me and I’m not there?
What if something happens and I’m miles away?
What if I have to live with the uncertainty of not knowing when he’ll come home?
What if I’m simply not strong enough to handle that kind of life?
Maybe I’m a little too sensitive. Maybe I feel things too deeply. And honestly, I know I’m not the strongest person when it comes to facing certain kinds of fear.
I don't think I could easily live with that constant uncertainty.
And that is exactly why I understand Ishika.
This is not me saying that Army families are weak or that they cannot handle these things. Quite the opposite. I think there is an incredible kind of strength in loving someone whose life comes with uncertainty, distance, waiting, and sacrifices.
I’m simply exploring the story from the perspective of someone like Ishika—someone who loves deeply but is also afraid of what that love might ask from her.
And maybe that is what makes this story special to me.
Because From Strangers to Home isn't only about an Army man and a civilian falling in love.
It is about two completely different worlds slowly becoming home for each other.
I really, really hope you’ll love this book.
I hope you’ll laugh with my characters, get annoyed with them, fall in love with them, understand their fears, and maybe even see a little piece of yourself in them.
So, my Pistas…
Welcome to From Strangers to Home. 🫶🏻
I hope you stay until these strangers become home. 🤍
